A Spatial analysis of Israeli cities using Space Syntax methodology. The analysis looks at the configuration of streets and measures the degree of urban centrality that is created at a local scale movements (R=1000m). The shades of red reflect urban cores which are highly accessible for both pedestrians, cyclists and other traffic and therefore present the potential to become convivial urban places that.
This type of analysis allows to objectively rank the level of centrality of different cities and street networks. The Israel case study shows the power of Tel Aviv among other cities.
